What EMD Specification Terms Actually Describe
An EMD specification can combine composition, physical form and application-specific performance, but these categories answer different questions. A manganese dioxide assay describes chemical content under a stated analytical method. An impurity profile identifies elements or residues that a buyer may need to control for its process. Moisture describes water present at the time of testing; its reported value depends on the drying method and handling before measurement. Particle-size data describe a distribution, not a single representative particle. For example, a median value alone cannot show how much fine or coarse material lies outside the central portion of that distribution. Apparent or tap density, if reported, describes how powder occupies space under defined handling conditions rather than its chemical composition. Electrochemical results, if offered, require the test cell design and procedure to be interpretable. These are general specification concepts, not published values for QingChong's EMD: no EMD grade sheet was provided. Before comparing documents, read each figure alongside its unit, test method, sample preparation and whether it is a guaranteed limit or a typical observation. Without those details, two apparently matching numbers may describe different measurements.
